This tastefully-appointed residential unit is located in an environmentally-protected building in the city of Kyoto, which for a thousand years was the capital of Japan and is highly valued as one of the most historically significant and scenically charming areas of the country, thanks to the beauty of its temples and Zen gardens.
The Architecture Link Life Inc., responsible for the interior design, incorporated a vast selection of furnishings from the Minotti catalog, carefully choosing the fabrics and colors to blend perfectly with the finishes in the spacious living room.
The expansive living room with hardwood flooring and walls in alternating stone and wood paneling, was furnished with two Sherman sofas placed face-to-face, a Gilliam armchair and many other complementary pieces, like the Calder, Leger and Riley coffee tables and the Wilson console. The ample Van Dyck dining table with rectangular walnut top is paired with Twombly chairs. On the terrace, which has a splendid view of the city, is another Van Dyck table, this time with smoked glass top, and Cortina chairs. Room in the residential unit was also found for a second lounge area and furnished with pieces from the Minotti collection: Smith Lounge System sofas, Starr and Leger coffee tables, Clyfford console and York Lounge little armchair.
