The Met Hotel is a 5-star hotel designed by the Zege Architects practice for the Chandris group. Inaugurated in 2010 and located in the port of Thessaloniki, it is a fine example of an urban redevelopment project.
The building blends in seamlessly with the sea and port, which are visible from the large windows that open out on each floor. The communal spaces offer a continuum of comfortable lounge areas and reading corners, with several vistas of the internal Mediterranean garden.
Numerous works of art play up the “museum” personality of the hotel and make for a modern use of the communal spaces, many of which have been furnished with seating and coffee tables from the Minotti collection: the Hamilton Islands, Jagger and Alison Black Lac sofas, the Calder and Leger coffee tables, the Davis ottoman.
