Mallorca, Villa Quantum Residential

Mallorca, Villa Quantum

Villa Quantum, a striking private residence designed by Estudio Cano Arquitectura (ECA), with interior design project by Gunni & Trentino, offers an immersive journey through a Brutalist-inspired architecture, where a curated selection of Minotti furnishing pieces is seamlessly integrated into an authentic and captivating setting.

Spanning approximately 1,300 sqm across three levels, Villa Quantum embodies a contemporary vision of living defined by architectural rigour, balanced proportions and understated elegance. Functional yet sophisticated, the residence is distinguished by a refined interplay of materials, where concrete, wood and glass coexist in perfect harmony. Among the guiding principles of the project, the relationship with water stands out as a defining element, visible from every level of the house: the Mediterranean Sea from the upper floor, the infinity pool from the intermediate level, and the underwater view of the pool from below, creating a sequence of perspectives that accompanies the entire architectural experience.

Right from the entrance, two Elas Cord Outdoor armchairs by Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27 welcome guests beneath a reinforced concrete portico punctuated by geometric openings that filter the natural light. From here, a sculptural staircase combining concrete, wood and glass leads to the main living areas, unveiling a succession of spaces animated by the interplay of light, materiality and transparency.

The areas dedicated to conviviality are conceived as open, fluid environments designed to encourage gathering and shared moments. In the main living room, the Roger seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni engages in dialogue with the suspended fireplace and the dramatic double-height volume, while the Diagramma coffee table by Giampiero Tagliaferri and the Torii Bold armchair with ottoman by Nendo complete the composition with effortless refinement. Expansive sliding glass walls and the absence of beams and columns further enhance the visual continuity with the surrounding context, dissolving the boundary between architecture and nature.

The indoor dining area revolves around the Nico table by Hannes Peer, paired with Torii dining little armchairs by Nendo, while the outdoor dining space extends the same design language through the Bézier Dining Outdoor table by Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27 and Tape Cord Outdoor dining little armchairs, overlooking the infinity pool and the Mediterranean horizon.

The outdoor spaces represent one of the project's defining features. Bathed in natural light and fully open to the surrounding landscape, the lounge areas and terraces embrace the Mediterranean lifestyle in its purest expression. Here, the Dayligh Daybed by GamFratesi and the Quadrado seating system by Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27 create elegant outdoor settings conceived to offer the same exceptional level of comfort and sophistication as the interiors.

Balancing these convivial spaces are the villa's more intimate environments, including the master suite, guest bedrooms and the wellness area with its indoor pool, each conceived as a private retreat dedicated to relaxation and wellbeing. Within the master suite, the Brasilia Bed and Superquadra bench, both designed by Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27, together with the Lilliam armchair by Hannes Peer, shape a serene and intimate atmosphere where carefully considered proportions, tactile materials and natural light combine to evoke a profound sense of tranquillity.

Villa Quantum expresses a vision of contemporary living in which architecture, interior design and landscape merge into a seamless whole, creating a residential experience defined by balance, continuity and enduring wellbeing.
