Orion Outdoorは、矩形・正方形・台形といった多様なポリゴナルモジュールの体系から構成され、組み合わせの自由度が高く、住宅空間からホスピタリティのオープンエア環境まで幅広く対応できる設計となっています。
このシステムのデザインは、幾何学的な厳密さと視覚的な柔らかさのバランスから生まれています。低くゆったりとしたシートは周囲の環境と直接的な関係を築き、面の流れによって構成全体に軽やかなリズムを与えています。
本プロジェクトのアイデンティティは、大きなシートクッションに見られるステッチ構成に表れています。中央に向かって収束する縫製がグラフィカルな印象を強調しています。背もたれは単体で配置され、全体の水平的な読み取りを促しながら、ダブルステッチによる封筒状の仕上げがディテールを引き締めています。
建築家ジョン・ロートナーの研究から着想を得ており、要素同士が独立した小さな建築のように対話するという考え方が基盤となっています。スチール製の脚部（塗装仕上げのバリエーションあり）がボリュームを地面から持ち上げ、軽やかで浮遊感のある構成を生み出しています。さらに、トラバーチン製のフリースタンディングテーブルが加わり、シーティング間やソファ前に配置されることで、屋外空間との物質的な関係性を強化する役割を果たしています。
