Beverly Hills, 1231 Lago Vista Drive Residential

Beverly Hills, 1231 Lago Vista Drive

After a career in fashion, Charles Park, the creator of popular Californian fashion brands, has turned to architectural interiors, taking care of the interior design of a villa at 1231 Lago Vista Drive in Beverly Hills, a little to the north of the famous Sunset Boulevard. With the same care and meticulous attention he employed with colours, fabrics and materials for three decades, he has created a personalized, trend-setting design project but with a classic, timeless appeal.

Working in collaboration with Samuel and Paul Oh from The Parks & Associates LLC in Los Angeles, he has designed an exclusive residence selecting the best materials and furnishings. A true haute couture house covering a total surface of over 1,300 sqm including – in addition to the living and dining areas and the wine cellar, designed to accommodate as many as 600 bottles – seven bedrooms and eleven bathrooms, with exceptional finishings and features.

As you enter the house, you are greeted by original paintings by Andy Warhol, while the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a unique panorama, immersed in lush green vegetation.

The large living area includes a conversation zone with an L-shaped arrangement of the Hamilton seating system, linear in design, but rich in technological and sartorial elements, and the Blake-Soft armchair, inviting you to relax in its comfortable lines and quilted upholstery, with a goose feather inner filling that gives it a wonderful softness. This area is bounded by two Johns “Low” open front cabinet and houses the Kirk occasional table, with metal base and glass top, and the Benson coffee table with its striking shape in a combination of wood and metal.

In the open space, the dining area centres around the Morgan table, with a design evoking the traditional refectory table, surrounded by the Aston chairs and armchairs with an obvious retro inspiration. On the floor, the Dibbets “Tonneau” rug, with its distinctive rounded edge is in an elegant shade of Aubergine, while the Connors sideboard with its architectural volume marks off the dining space.

Overlooking the garden with the large pool flush with the ground, the living area extends outdoors with an open air lounge furnished with elements from the Alison “Dark Brown” Outdoor seating system, with a frame in solid iroko wood in a sophisticated shade of deep brown, and the Bellagio “Outdoor” with Corian® top, in a version specifically for outdoors. On the ground is the "Braid Rug”, in acrylic yarn with water-resistant and breathable features, perfect for outdoors.
