The design project for this villa can be recognized as a modern interpretation of the classic Georgian style that characterizes many of the homes in the exclusive Constantia area, near Cape Town, and famous for the quality of its wines.
An original perspective was taken by the SAOTA (Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects) Studio to this tradition, based on fluid movement from one space to another, informed by a language of lightness and communication between interior and exterior settings. The same concept inspired the choices made by the Antoni Associates Studio, tasked with the interior design, in the integration of unique, custom-designed pieces with contemporary elements.
The dining room offers a superb synthesis of this design philosophy with an impressive solid French oak table, surrounded by sculptural, leather-upholstered Phillips chairs. The leather comes in an elegant shade of beige.
